I have always loved drawing. When I was young I remember spending a lot of time in my room sketching, drawing and “copying” images from comic books. My mom even signed me up for art classes for a while. I think she still has the paintings I drew during that time.
I’ve always vowed to draw more. And during certain times of my life I have returned. Usually it happens during times of transition.
Drawing helps me slow down. Stops my brain from running. I haven’t drawn in quite some time. Many excuses none of them all that compelling.
My recent purchase of an iPad has driven me to sketch and paint and play again with my creative side. In a throw back to my childhood days I drew Charlie Brown above. Peanuts was my favorite comic as a child and drawing this took me back to a simpler time.
I like simple.
